SA records almost 100 cases of election related crimes

JOHANNESBURG - About one hundred people have been arrested in the past four days for the contravention of the Electoral Act.

The Gauteng has the highest number of people arrested.

The crimes include stealing and damaging banners, intimidating and fighting with the IEC staff in voting centres. 

Spokesperson for NATJOINTS, Tebello Mosikili says the number pf arrested people is expected to rise as more people are yet to be processed.
