CAPE TOWN - South Africa is considered a leader in ocean science, not only on the continent but globally.
That’s according to the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment.
It says that through advanced scientific capabilities and laboratories onboard the SA Agulhas Two, South Africa is becoming a game-charger in scientific research conducted in oceans.

In an attempt to showcase what the 15000 ton vessel has to offer, the department sailed members of Parliament and the media from East London to Cape Town recently.
