JOHANNESBURG - Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says South Africa plans to add 14,000 kilometres of power lines over the next decade.

Ramokgopa hopes a new agreement with China will make this possible.
"For us to expand the transmission we have to install about 14,000 kilometres of new lines in the next 10 years. Just to put it into context, in the past 10 years we only did 4,400 kilometres so we must grow that 3.5 times," he said.
