JOHANNESBURG - The Special Investigating Unit plans to recover over R250-million from law firms, including sheriffs.
That's after duplicate payments were made to the value of R340-million from the Road Accident Fund.
The SIU says some law firms have committed to return the money.

But those who haven't will face civil action in court.
Spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago says they've recovered R18-million so far.
"There were people who came and blew the whistle on the workings of the RAF," he said.
