RIVERLANDS, Western Cape - Victims of the August floods caused by the collapse of three dam walls in Riverlands, outside Cape Town, say they’re homeless.
They’ve been told to leave their accommodation and have been given no alternative place to live.
More than 200 individuals were displaced when their homes and livestock were swept away in the area.
The municipality is waiting for national government to supply building supplies to victims and officials say the two NGOs providing housing for locals warned residents in October there would be no available accommodation throughout the holiday season.
