Riverlands Dam Collapse | Dam breach still causing major disruption

RIVERLANDS, WESTERN CAPE - The Swartland Municipality has been forced to evacuate Riverlands residents again. 

Evacuation was prompted by more surging floodwaters. The Department of Water and Sanitation's plan to slowly release water from this dam to minimise the risk of possible flooding failed.

This resulted in a sudden surge downstream, causing widespread flooding in the surrounding areas.
