RIP Pravin Gordhan | Manuel says Gordhan had a tough task to revive SOEs

JOHANNESBURG - Former Finance Minister, Trevor Manuel, says the late Pravin Gordhan faced numerous headwinds as the Minister of Public Enterprises.

It was Gordhan's last portfolio before he retired from politics earlier this year.

Manuel says the state capture years brought state-owned enterprises to their knees. And, that criminality and mismanagement made turning around SOEs a tough task for Gordhan.
