JOHANNESBURG - Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa is in the Eastern Cape this week.
He kicked off a series of interactions at Dedisa Peaking Power Station in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.
He engaged with Finance and Economic Development MEC, Mlungisi Mvoko, Nelson Mandela Bay mayor Garry Van Niekerk and the power station management.

The minister went on a walkabout at the plant before addressing the media.
Ramokgopa says he's visiting Dedisa Power Station is to determine if it has additional generating capacity.
The ministry is searching for additional megawatts wherever it can to enable it to put rolling blackouts behind it.
