JOHANNESBURG - The City of Joburg is implementing a new blackout schedule that excludes industrial and business customers.
The new City Power schedule will see customers being cut for only two hours, regardless of the stage.

It also means the City is able to decide who to switch off while adhering to Eskom’s megawatts requirements.
Authorities say the move is being done to attract investment and create and save jobs.
The City says the impact of power cuts on the economy cannot be understated.
