JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Health is welcoming a High Court ruling exempting hospitals, clinics, schools and police stations from power cuts.
It says blackouts are putting a major strain on resources.
The application was brought by Action SA, the UDM, the IFP and 17 others.

But government has significant concerns about the judgment.
Gauteng Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko expressed relief at the order.
"It was really a frustration to us, especially on the financial side because a lot of diesel that we have used," she said.
