Ramokgopa: Idiot's guide to nuclear energy needed

PRETORIA - Electricity and Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has defended South Africa's generation of nuclear energy.

Ramokgopa was talking at a nuclear summit in Pretoria.

Nuclear power capacity is part of South Africa's just transition to cleaner renewable energy, and is firmly part of the country's energy mix.

The country is currently developing 2,500 megawatts of new nuclear energy generation.

Ramokgopa says his department is mulling over generating an idiot's guide to nuclear energy.
