Eskom escalated rolling power cuts on Friday until Monday morning.
It blames this on a shortage of generation capacity and emergency reserves.

This sent South Africans on a frenzy on social media, voicing their anger and frustration.
Ramokgopa apologised for the latest bout, saying it was brought on by higher demand due to the heatwave.
He says there are no emergency reserves to mitigate the impact.
