JOHANNESBURG - Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says power cuts are unwelcome occurrences.
Ramokgopa indicated the cold front expected in Gauteng could lead to higher demand.
The minister says this is a concern.
Ramokgopa said, "Load-shedding is an unwelcome occurrence but the more we're able to illustrate there is gradual improvements and an average person measures that improvement in terms of the number of hours the lights are on or off."
"We are trying by all means not to go beyond stage four."
"Of course, there is a cold front in the Gauteng area, it accounts for a significant amount of the load."
"It is something that is worrying."
