JOHANNESBURG - ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula has reaffirmed that party President Cyril Ramaphosa will step aside if he has a case to answer over the Phala Phala scandal.
Ramaphosa has been cleared of any wrongdoing in a preliminary report by acting Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka.
Millions of rand in US Dollar currency was stolen from his Limpopo farm in 2020.

Ramaphosa has since been accused of trying to cover up the theft.
Mbalula says the ANC will make its own determination and that there's no leadership crisis in the party.
He has also called for unity among delegates attending the party's Western Cape elective conference.
Mbalula opened the conference on Saturday following several delays.
The province has not held an elective conference since 2015.
