JOHANNESBURG - ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has congratulated the party's Western Cape members for holding a peaceful ninth elective conference.
Ramaphosa also told delegates that the party's main aim is unity, bringing an end to factions and focusing on doing better during next year's elections.
"After a long period of instability as well as uncertainty within the structures of our movement, you have been successful at having this conference and we now look forward to how you are going to advance the process of unity, of renewal, and the revitalisation of the ANC in the Western Cape," he said.
The party in the province last held an elective conference in 2015.
