Questions about police work in Middelburg double murder

MIDDELBURG - Police must now provide proof of their claim that Reinardt Steyn paid Dumisane Masilela R50,000 to help him kill Thembeni Mnguni and Wanda Mahlangu.

Investigating officer, Captain Sipho Khumalo said their investigations showed a payment between the two men.

Steyn, Masilela, and two others are accused of assaulting and setting Mnguni and Mahlangu alight, over allegations of stock theft.

eNCA reporter Hloni Mtimkulu was at the Middelburg Magistrate's Court as the bail application for three of the accused continued.
