Protest against illegal mining, drug dens in Roodepoort

ROODEPOORT - There's anger in Roodepoort.

Residents are upset with a lack of service delivery.

They say damaged pipelines are spilling sewage into the Fleurhof Dam.

The community also says police are not dealing with illegal mining and drug dealing in the area.

All main entrances and exits to Ward 7 -- which includes Florida, Fleurhof and Maraisburg -- have been closed.
