JOHANNESBURG -Charges against Robert Mugabe Junior, the son of the late former President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe, have been dropped.
Mugabe junior was arrested by police at the weekend on charges of malicious damage to property.
He arrived at Harare magistrate’s court accompanied by his two lawyers, friends and police officers.
He has been charged with malicious damage to property worth US$12,000 belonging to his friend.
However, he did not appear in court and his lawyers say state prosecutors have given the two sides an opportunity to resolve their differences before they consider proceeding with the case.
