Process to procure 2500MW of nuclear power hits a snag
JOHANNESBURG - Work to procure 2500 megawatts of nuclear power has been put on hold to allow for public consultation.
Electricity minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa announced that he was withdrawing the determination issued in the Government Gazette.
His move comes after several organisations promptly indicated that Nersa's consultation process was not thorough.
Ramokgopa says he agrees with them hence his decision to withdraw the determination.
