Presidential protector takes his own life

JOHANNESBURG - A member of the Presidential Protection Services has killed himself at an Umhlanga hotel. 

He was being investigated for allegedly killing a woman with a state vehicle in a hit-and-run accident, and then trying to cover up the crime.

According to police, he allegedly called a colleague to confess, before pulling the trigger.
