JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa has suspended Judge Tshifiwa Maumela.
Maumela was presiding over the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial in the High Court in Pretoria.
The case was postponed to 17 July after Maumela called in sick.

The Judicial Service Commission recommended he and Judge Nomonde Mnqgibisa-Thusi be suspended.
They were found to have needlessly delayed delivering judgments.
Suspension letters were sent to the two Gauteng judges on Wednesday.
