President Ramaphosa in St Petersburg as second leg of peace talks continue

ST PETERSBURG - African leaders are attempting to restore balance and peace between Ukraine and Russia.

After talks in Ukraine on Friday, President Cyril Ramaphosa, along with six other other heads of state from the continent, are in St Petersburg to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to iron out the differences between the two nations.

However, the President's security detail are not with him and instead will be returning home without him on Sunday.

This comes after a standoff between Polish authorities and the South African delegation.

Officials in Poland say dangerous goods were on board the plane, which South African representatives did not have permission to bring into the country.
