Popcru elects new leadership

DURBAN - Thulani Ngwenya has been elected Popcru President after a five-day congress.

He replaces Zizamele Cebekhulu-Makhaza, who's been at the helm since 1996.

Treasurer Thulani Nsele meanwhile has retained his position, despite corruption allegations hanging over his head.

Ngwenya said his priorities are to continue where the legacy of the old leadership has left off.
