JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg police have arrested a suspect in connection with the Marshalltown fire, which claimed the lives of over 70 people, and left over 100 displaced.
In August last year a massive fire tore through a five-storey hijacked building in the Joburg CBD,
in the early hours of the morning.
A 29-year-old man was arrested for starting the tragic fire, after he confessed at the Commission of Inquiry earlier on Tuesday.
He's expected to appear before a Johannesburg court soon, on charges of arson.
Police say he'll face 76 counts of murder and 120 counts of attempted murder.
