JOHANNESBURG - The police have identified the charred body used in Thabo Bester's escape from prison.
This is after matching DNA with the deceased's mother.

The convicted rapist and murderer escaped from the Mangaung Correctional facility, after faking his death in a fire that broke out in his cell.
