Police arrest seven suspected corrupt officials

JOHANNESBURG - The National Traffic Anti-Corruption Unit of the RTMC has pounced on the Meyerton Traffic Department, arresting seven suspects for allegedly issuing learners and driving licenses.

The suspects face charges of fraud and corruption.

R36,000 was also recovered in the vehicle of one of the officials working at the Meyerton Traffic Department.

The operations at the department will however remain open.
