JOHANNESBURG - There are concerns about a backlog in pediatric surgical operations in the country.
The Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital is working to reduce this backlog.
On 24 June, the facility initiated Khanyisa General Surgery Week.
During this period, its pediatric surgical team will be focusing on clearing the backlog of day cases.
Professor Andrew Duncan Grieve Head of Pediatric Surgery at Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital discussed this with eNCA.
