JOHANNESBURG - Overcrowded hospitals, limited resources and poor governance are crippling the healthcare system.
Health Minister Joe Phaahla says this makes it important to ensure universal and equal healthcare.
Phaahla was speaking to JJ Tabane on Power to Truth.
"The broad policy of universal health coverage is a policy which is embraced all over the world.
"In September this year, there will be a second high-level meeting," Phaahla said.
"The broad principle of course is that health should be a public good and not a private commodity."
