Parliament Fire | Mafe to get psychiatric assessment

CAPE TOWN - Alleged Parliament arsonist Zandile Mafe will undergo a 30-day psychiatric evaluation.

It will be done at Fort England Psychiatric Hospital in the Eastern Cape.

The 51-year-old refused to be admitted to Valkenberg due to a previous traumatic incident there.

He faces charges including arson and terrorism for the fire that gutted the National Assembly in January 2022.
