CAPE TOWN - Alleged Parliament arsonist Zandile Mafe is a step closer to his trial if all goes according to plan in the Western Cape High Court on Friday.
The State is expected to furnish the defence with outstanding documents for pre-trial proceedings.
That includes a crime scene investigation report and video footage.
Another issue that could arise, is that of the admissibility of Mafe's confession.
In August, the matter was postponed as Mafe was on a hunger strike and refused to be brought up to court.
The accused is expected to plead not guilty to the charges.
