Ousted West Rand mayor says motion of no-confidence politically motivated

JOHANNESBURG - Ousted West Rand Mayor, Hullet Hild says the ANC and EFF are on a mission to boot out all DA mayors.

Hild made these comments following a vote of no confidence against him.

The West Rand council whip,  Alme Swart has also been removed.

Hild said, "there is no reason for these motions of no confidence, other then politically motivated. The EFF and the ANC just want to remove all DA run municipalities all mayors must just disappear so what they do is they put in minority leaders for example we have the Al Jama-ahs and so forth, they choose mayors from smaller parties."

"In the Western District Municipality we only have one such a party which is the AIC so its councilor Bovongani,  would it be surprising to see are they going to nominate someone else for mayoral position or councilor Bovongani."

"That will show you again, how can you be on your own but they you are gonna supposed to run as the executive mayor who are you going to appoint from your party. So your only going to appoint people from other parties manly the EFF and the ANC, that will then tell him what to do, will he really have the power or the way that he can make decisions, will it be allowed or will they tell him what to do."
