Operation O Kae Molao | Gauteng police nab more than 800 suspects

JOHANNESBURG - Police in Gauteng have arrested more than 800 wanted suspects in the past two days.

Operation Okae Moloa was in the south of Johannesburg last night.

Police said 27 undocumented foreign nationals were arrested, and more than a dozen people were busted for drinking under the influence.

"Four firearms were taken from a private security company of which the permit to possess those firearms or to run the security company has expired," said Gauteng police commissioner Elias Mawela.

"The firearms were taken in and the people in possession of the fraudulent permit.

"The good thing is that we have started with a bang, from Friday and today [Saturday] we have managed to arrest 805 wanted suspects."
