Nzimande serves notice of intention to place Unisa under administration

JOHANNEBSURG - Higher Education and Training Minister Blade Nzimande has served  notice of his intention to place Unisa under administration.

This on the recommendation of independent assessor, Professor Themba Mosia, who found financial and other maladministration at the university.

The Minister says he delayed the decision for more than a month.

But instead of responding to him, the Unisa council went about its business as if there was no pending decision to be taken.

Nzimande is expected to make his decision final on Friday.
