North West Floods | NGO steps in with aid

MORETELE MUNICIPALITY - Angry residents affected by recent floods say they are fed up with the Moretele Municipality’s empty promises.

Residents vented their frustration after facing a shortage of emergency supplies from Gift of the Givers.

The aid organisation has been distributing food parcels, blankets and mattresses following devastating floods in the area.

But relief turned to anger when supplies ran short.

Residents say they rely on the help of NGOs as local authorities claim to be unable to help.
