JOHANNESBURG - The accused in the Nomzamo tavern massacre will apply for bail on 5 December.
They appeared briefly at the Orlando Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
During their last appearance, they claimed assault by police and were demanding medical attention.
Two are South African and three are Lesotho foreign nationals.
According to police more arrests are imminent.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the tavern shooting has increased to 17.
In July, 16 people were shot and killed and the NPA believes it's linked to cable theft and illegal mining.
