ULUNDI - The tendering process for KwaZulu-Natal to build a road from King Cetshwayo District to Zululand is expected to start next year.
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula met with King MisuZulu KaZwelithini on Friday in uLundi to discuss government's intention to expand the N2.
It's believed the road will draw much-needed economic activity to the area.
The department says the project is a 50-50 split between the national and provincial transport departments.
The project is expected to see a boost in infrastructure development, including schools.
It also aims to create jobs in the province.
