NQAMAKWE - Neglected and left in the hands of criminals to cause major destruction.
This is how communities from Nqamakwe in the Eastern Cape have described the appalling state of their police station.
They say the facility started to deteriorate 20 years ago when the contractor assigned to refurbish the facility disappeared without completing the work.
But Eastern Cape police say plans are afoot to build another police station and are busy engaging with the public works department.
Residents say they are giving the police 30 days to respond to their grievances.
