JOHANNESBURG - Former Tshwane Mayor Murunwa Makwarela was being protected by senior Cope leaders.
That's according to the party's Gauteng chair, Tom Mofokeng.
Murunwa resigned in disgrace after an insolvency rehabilitation certificate was found to be fake.
Mofokeng says Willie Madisha and Dennis Bloem did nto allow the vetting process to be undertaken.
