Mpumalanga mine accident claims four lives

JOHANNESBURG - Mpumalanga police are investigating the deaths of four men at Sibanye's Stillwater mine in Balfour.

Two other workers are being treated in hospital.

The full circumstances around the accident have not yet been fully established.

The identities of the victims have also not yet been released.

Mpumalanga Police Commissioner, Semakaleng Manamela, has sent condolences to the bereaved families.

He's also calling for calm and for police to be given space to investigate.
