More charges may be laid against alleged rapist coach

INANDA - Another case has been opened against a soccer coach who allegedly raped young boys in Inanda township in KwaZulu-Natal.

Three boys had Initially come forward and shared how they were raped by the 37-year-old.

A fourth victim has now also laid charges and the community is calling on any other possible victims to report the coach.

The NPA says so far the suspect has been charged with seven counts of rape.

“The 37-year-old man appeared at the Ntuzuma magistrate's court where the matter was set down for bail application," said Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, KZN NPA spokesperson.

"He abandoned his application and the matter was remanded to 26 June for further investigations.”

Police confirmed that the fourth victim opened a case of sexual assault and this charge will be added to the docket at the suspect's next court appearance.
