JOHANNESBURG - The impeachment inquiry into suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwane says it is ready to continue with its work.
It says now that Mkhwebane has secured funds for the matter, it will be continuing with its revised way forward.
Members of the committee have all met the deadline to submit written questions to Mkhwebane. She has until 6 July to respond to questions.
The committee was established in March 2021 to conduct a constitutional inquiry into Mkhwebane’s fitness to hold office.
It is expected to finalise its work by the end of July.
