Mkhwebane impeachment | Madonsela concerned over questions asked

CAPE TOWN - Former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela has raised concerns about questions Busisiwe Mkhwebane's legal team wants her to answer.

Some of them relate to the treatment of her staff during her tenure as the Public Protector.

However, she says they are irrelevant to the impeachment processes and should be directed to the right channels.

Madonsela appeared before Parliamentary proceedings related to Mkhwebane's impeachment inquiry.

"I don't think that Parliament still has jurisdiction to question me over those matters," said Madonsela.

"There is no merit to them," she added.
