PRETORIA - The trial-within-a-trial in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case has been adjourned to Monday.
This as the lawyer for accused 1 and 2, Advocate Thulani Mngomezulu, failed to attend court due to ill health.

The court was meant to hear arguments on an application by the state to introduce new evidence relating to the tracking report of a vehicle used by Sergeant Vusumuzi Mogane.
However there was confusion as other defence lawyers said they were told the objection has been abandoned.

At the heart of the trial-within-a-trial are two confessions made by Bongani Ntanzi and Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya in June 2020.
The court is trying to detemine whether those confessions were made freely and voluntarily, and if they should be admitted as evidence in court.
