JOHANNESBURG - Outspoken ANC MP, Mervyn Dirks has resigned from the National Assembly.
Parliament has confirmed Dirks' resignation, along with that of fellow MP, Tshilidzi Munyai.
Dirks's resignation is effective from Monday, while Munyai will relinquish his deployment from Tuesday.
Parliament did not give finer details on the resignations.
Dirks has been one of ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa’s staunchest critics.
Especially over the Phala Phala farm theft scandal.
He is among the few ANC MPs who voted in favour of adopting the independent panel's report on the robbery.
