HARARE - A Zimbabwe journalist who was arrested earlier this week for interviewing a Zanu PF member resisting President Emmerson Mnangagwa's term extension appeared in court on Tuesday.
Although Mnangagwa originally said he will step down in 2028, his loyalists in Zanu PF are currently campaigning for him to extend his rule beyond the two-term limit.
Blessed Mhlanga, an online TV journalist, was arrested in Harare on Monday.
Three weeks ago he interviewed Blessed Geza, the leader of a group of war veterans, who are calling for President Emmerson Mnangagwa to step down saying he has failed.
Mhlanga appeared at the Harare Magistrate court on Tuesday.
