JOHANNESBURG - The Johannesburg home of National Assembly Speaker, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula was raided on Tuesday morning.
Officers were at Mapisa-Nqakula's home until mid-morning.
She is accused of soliciting a R2.3-million bribe from a military contractor, during her tenure as Defence Minister.
Meanwhile, Mapisa-Nqakula has responded to the raid through Parliament's spokesperson Moloto Mothapo and has declared her innocence.
Mothapo says Mapisa-Nqakula welcomed and cooperated with investigators when they arrived at her home because she has nothing to hide.
