Malema firearm case postponed

JOHANNESBURG 8 June 2017 - EFF leader Julius Malema says the DA could fail to remove the ANC from government in 2019 if it continues to disrespect coalition partners. Malema also warned the party not to allow Helen Zille to become the Zuma of the DA.

PRETORIA - The case against the EFF leader Julius Malema and his bodyguard Adriaan Snyman has been postponed to next January.

Malema is accused of shooting a firearm during his party's rally in 2018.

Snyman, is also charged, for unlawfully giving him a firearm and ammunition. 

Malema and his bodyguard requested a postponement in absentia that is because their legal representative is attending the Life at Esidimeni matter in Pretoria and could not make it to court.

The State has not opposed this and the matter has now been postponed to 30 January 2023 and 3 February 2023.
