JOHANNESBURG - A Malawian court has ruled that self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri can be extradited to South Africa.
Bushiri fled South Africa for his native Malawi in November 2020. This was days after he and his wife Mary were released on a R200 000 bail each.

South Africa then submitted an extradition request to Malawi, seeking their return to stand trial on a raft of charges.
These include rape, violating bail conditions, contravention of the Financial Advisory, and Intermediary Services Act, Banking Act, Civil Aviation Act, and the Immigration Act.
