CAPE TOWN - The phones of slain anti-gang unit detective, Charl Kinnear, attorney William Booth, police officers and underworld bosses were among those pinged using major cellphone networks.
This information was revealed in the Cape Town High Court by former SAPS Cop, Bradley Goldblatt, who owned a pinging platform.

He is testifying for the state in the trial of alleged underworld boss, Nafiz Modack, former debt collector Zane Kilian and 13 others.
The state says they were all part of a criminal enterprise. Kinnear was investigating Modack and some of his own colleagues for corruption.

He was shot dead outside his house in September 2020 and Booth survived several shots fired at him at his home.
