JOHANNESBURG - Dr Nandipha Magudumana has labelled her arrest in Tanzania as an abduction.
Magudumana's legal team have filed an urgent application with the Free State High Court to have the arrest declared wrongful and unlawful.
She further wants all orders and warrants against her declared null and void, and to be released from detention immediately.
Magudumana was arrested in Tanzania with escaped rapist and murderer Thabo Bester.

She is believed to have assisted Bester to escape from the Mangaung Correctional Centre in May 2022.
It was initially believed he had committed suicide by setting himself alight in his cell.
Magudumana is currently in custody facing three charges of fraud, two of violation of a body, three counts of corruption, arson, assisting an inmate to escape, harbouring and concealing an escaped offender, and defeating the ends of justice.
The matter will be heard in the Free State High Court on Thursday, 25 May.
